To Inspire Me...

Last night I went to be super early, however before I lay my head down on the pillow I had a look at a preview for a new movie called Bella. Bella, wow...this movie deserves to be seen-everywhere! I have yet to watch the entire movie; however looking at the trailer and listening to the story of the actor who plays the main character and business partner of the director, I want to shout out to the world the need for this movie to be seen.

Bella, it's about a love that transcends romance-it's about a choice. It's beautiful. From a review I've read the movie speaks deep and true about redemption, forgiveness, hope, love.

Eduardo Verastegui-former Mexican movie, tv and popstar gave up everything because he wanted to make a difference in the world, to go beyond himself, to inspire others and his lifestyle/career was doing the exact opposite prior to this. I think I want to see this movie not only for the movie but also for the man. In an interview with Ryan Seacrest, the words Eduardo spoke inspired me to be the woman that God made me to be. Let me expand on this...He spoke of his sisters and mother-how they are the heart of the family. When asked if he was single, he said yes and stated that he, "can't wait to meet [his] wife-[He] can't wait to meet the mother of [his] children." I truly believe that he, and others like him, are the kind of men that God intended men to be-the kind of men that God wants so that His daughters can flourish and enable those around them to flourish. I think of Ephesians 5 here:

21 And further, submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.
22 For wives, this means submit to your husbands as to the Lord. 23 For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church. He is the Savior of his body, the church. 24 As the church submits to Christ, so you wives should submit to your husbands in everything.
25 For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her 26 to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word.[
b] 27 He did this to present her to himself as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish. Instead, she will be holy and without fault. 28 In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as they love their own bodies. For a man who loves his wife actually shows love for himself. 29 No one hates his own body but feeds and cares for it, just as Christ cares for the church. 30 And we are members of his body.
31 As the Scriptures say, “A man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.”[
c] 32 This is a great mystery, but it is an illustration of the way Christ and the church are one. 33 So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

And I think about how God created us as women to submit to our husbands and how difficult that can be a) in your own strength but more importantly if your husband isn't loving you like Christ loved the church and isn't submitting to God. It's about an admiration for each other, it's about looking at someone and seeing that they are God's child and you have chosen to sacrifice for that person.

I really hope that not only does this movie do well, but Eduardo and his team are able to live out their dream-that God honours what they are doing and blesses them abundantly-we need more people out there like this.
