So I am not much of a baker. LOVE cooking but when you don't really eat wheat it's hard to bake--it's not fun. I like baking shortbread and then there are my cornflake squares (but who are we kidding, melting marshmallows is not baking.
I bought wheat-free flower and thought I'd bake banana bread. Turns out I didn't read quite carefully enough and put the English version of baking soda in, instead of baking powder. Let me tell you...it tastes different.
It was foul. But you know what I learned...when we don't pay the right amount of attention to the detail then we can easily get ourselves into big trouble.
It's like not quite listening to the instructions your boss is giving you. Or trying to offer advice before you've heard the whole story. When we don't stop. listen. and take in. or in this case, just take the time to make sure the right ingredients are in place. When we rush...we make assumptions and get the wrong outcome.
I'm gonna slow down. It doesn't mean doing less. It simply means taking it all in and then acting...
